As an investigator, Courtney conducts internal investigations into alleged violations of University policies involving students, faculty, and staff. Courtney thoroughly and confidentially investigates each allegation of misconduct by working collaboratively with associated parties while providing a fair and objective response.
Prior to joining Pitt, Courtney worked as a Consumer Protection Agent with the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General. For 3 y ears, Courtney conducted investigations into businesses on behalf of Pennsylvania Consumers to ensure that their rights were protected. Prior to that, Courtney worked as an Employment Law Paralegal, working directly with attorneys and clients on a variety of cases regarding harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct, and Title IX violations.
